Alabama67 visited the North Birmingham Branch Library on Monday, October 19, 2026.
We are pleased to report that we found no transgender material in the children’s, juvenile, or teen’s sections!
We were especially pleased to find books that are often found in the children’s sections at other libraries were properly shelved in the ADULT section.
This indicates to us that the library director and staff are actively working to comply with the APLS guidelines on transgender material in the children’s sections!
We are enormously grateful for this and praise them for their work!
